Altorney was created to allow both clients and reviewers to interact in a self-service mode with minimal back and forth, offering on-demand sourcing and managing. We do not place candidates on a project; rather, candidates apply directly to your projects based on the criteria and filters you set up. One of the goals of Altorney is to automate as much as possible, including conflict checking, project history updates, eSign forms, and more. By removing much of the back and forth that typically takes place at the start of a project, we can reduce our costs and return those savings to both clients and reviewers. When back and forth is required, our integrated chat groups and 1:1 allow time-efficient communications.

When a reviewer applies, you will be notified of available Pending Reviewers. You can view profiles including resumes and past metrics. Once you accept a candidate, they receive an invite notification.

Yes — use Invite Existing to select from prior project reviewers, or Invite by Email to ask a specific reviewer to join a project.

Log in, create a project, and set up one or more review types with your parameters. Altorney reviewers will apply, and once you accept them, they can begin work right away.

Reviewers log time in the Altorney platform. You approve time no later than Tuesday night of the following week, or it is automatically approved. Payments are made each Friday.

Premium time is an optional higher rate for hours worked beyond an average expected weekly schedule. Projects offering it will have it noted in the project details.

When first accepted to a project, you receive an onboarding email from our payment partners Wingspan or Ascen. Payments are made weekly with deposits on Fridays.

No. Many projects do not require a law degree. Use Advanced Search to filter to projects matching your specific qualifications.

Both options are available. Clients choose the engagement type, and reviewers can set notifications to receive only 1099, only W2, or both.
