I’m just back from Legalweek – and what a week it was!
While not on the law firm side this year, I found myself in a familiar role – explaining technology through live demos.
But this wasn’t just any technology, it was a solution I helped design from the ground up. That made it even more powerful to witness The Moment:
The pause.
The stare.
The quiet internal reboot.
The re-thinking of life choices.
You show someone GenAI performing a full first-level review – securely, accurately, at speed, for pennies – and they freeze.
Just for a second.
Because something unthinkable just became real.
I saw that moment a dozen times last week:
“𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵… 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵.”
“𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

That’s the shift.
That’s the future showing up.
That’s someone’s brain scrambling to make space for it.
Because once you’ve had that moment, once you’ve seen what’s possible, you don’t unsee it.
It’s like The Truman Show scene where Truman sails into the horizon and literally bumps into the sky, and he realizes his entire world has just changed.
We just ran into the wall. And nothing will be the same again.
